As a former TV News Videographer in several US East Coast TV markets full of
spot news, I've shot my fair share of murder, violent crime scenes, and
deadly car wrecks. Even though we didn't show exposed dead bodies (we would
show the body covered with a white sheet or in a body bag) to our viewers,
just seeing the dead body was enough to callous me to the world. I left TV
news 5+ years ago because I hated the negativity associated with local news
(if it bleeds, it leads), and felt like the world was a much more positive
place than TV News, generally speaking, made it out to be. I guess my point
is. . . it's likely that you would also find after your 20th violent crime
scene shoot, that it's not such a fun job. Shooting hotels, museums, and
churches - what with their varied lighting issues, interesting architecture,
unique stories, and positive influence - are way more fun for me!

Just my two cents. . .
