Some of you may already know one of my favourite personal projects: The
documentation of the Vienna subway extension - a personal photography
milestone every time i visit the site. ;-)
This year, i worked with a relatively consistend HDR workflow and i'm
quite happy with the outcome.
Capture: Fuji S3 with Nikkor 10mm Fisheye, extended DR + 3x2 EV bracketing
HDR merging with Photomatix (it has to be said the the new ghost removal
works excellent)
Stitching: Control point creation with PTGui (intermediate tonemapped
images), stitching with Hugin
Tonemapping: Photoreceptor (binary from the "HDR-book")
Where possible, i did tonemapping before stitching. This divided the
stitching process in 2 different workflows:
Because of doing "automatic" tonemapping (letting decide the software
how much DR has to be mapped) i ended up with 2 types of panoramas
- panoramas with sectors having evenly distributed lights and shadows
-> LDR stitching
- panoramas with sectors not having full DR in one captured sector ->
HDR stitching
See the "2007" panoramas at:

I think, it's time now to re-work the older ones... :-\
Best regards
Bernhard
