PanoTools NG: Re: hobbies? AYRTON - avi 2007-Nov-28 04:48:35
I've always being a PRO photographer since I was 14 !!!
I'm 52 now !

I begun shooting VRs in 1997.

But I can not say I'm a PRO panographer,
since I'm everyday learning with lots of PRO here.

Willy Kaemena, Hans Nyberg, Peter Murphy, Jook Leung, Scoot
Huntington, and a bunch of other very talented an much more PRO on
shooting VRs are my everyday teachers.

I learn a lot reading and testing, but something that for sure I
learned during the last 30+ years of living by photography ... is to
charge a fair value for my work, my talent.
And never, I mean never, go below my own costs or a decent market
value, otherwise I would be destroying not only my chance to survive,
but everyone who shall live by photography.

In my Country, I've been Director for the biggest brazilian
advertising photographers association during 6 years and have always
figth for decent values on photography works.

I don't have expensive cameras or lenses too.
They're incredible expensive in Brazil, since our import taxes are
from 60% to 100% on top of US or Europe prices, being cameras, lenses,
computers, etc...

I was shooting with a CP4500 from 2000 until 2005.
And borrowed a D70 all the time until 2006
And since then I now own a D80 :-)

But shooting IS A HOBBY for me everyday single day of my life :-)

I mean, I can not go do something without thinking on be shooting.
So that makes me a amateur too.

Thanks
