Hi all.
Milko's post on the "hijacking" of threads should probably serve as a
timely wake-up call for those who should know better, and a
revelation for others who may not be aware.
As a standard list practice, if or when you want to start a NEW
thread, please DO NOT use an existing message and hit "reply". This
messes up threading even if you change the subject line as there are
other tracking measures buried in the headers you cannot change.
Instead, start an entirely NEW message with your NEW subject
addressed to #removed#
This is covered in our User Guidelines at
http://wiki.panotools.org/User_Guidelines#Subject
"- don't start an entirely NEW thread by changing the subject line."
The User Guidelines link is also included in the footer of every list
message for those newer members who may not have noticed it yet.
Thanks for your continued co-operation,
KathyW
