I have been wrestling with Flashpanoramas xml for a while and also looked
wistfully at some of the examples on the Flashpanoramas forum, especially
those by Adrian Salisbury and Hans Nyberg. Your interface/design solution
looks very nice and has the advantage that the thumbs automatically fade out
while the panorama is loading. In most of the other interfaces you have to
click them out of the way, which most people will neglect to do. The only
thing that seemed unclear is how to get the thumbnails back. I wonder if a
first time panorama visitor will figure out to click on the icon in the
lower left corner. It looks like a logo. The disolve back to the thumbnails
could be a lot faster for me. All in all one of the nicest designs I have
seen so far.
Flashpanoramas does not follow the syntax rules for xml, so one cannot use
an xml editor, which would make things a lot easier to read and edit. As a
trick I have tried to replace all instances of & with ~ while editing and
convert back to & when saving.
