Subject:Re: Re: Colourspace / profile in cubic converter

Thread:

OK
here we go.

I am in the middle of correspondence off list with Milko on this matter.

I didn't Hijack a thread.

I started a new one.

It had a new title and everything. That's so people would know it was
about something different.

Works for me and the software I use. Selfish? No. Ignorant.
certainly. And if you had sent the post below directly to me, off
list, when I first did it. Well, we wouldn't be here.

I'm not the first and I'm not the last to do this. If it keeps
happening then find a different way of dealing with the problem.
Obviously your system of dealing with this needs changing.

I belong to a number of professional lists and use the procedure you
point out below to post to the list. At no point has this procedure
caused any complaint or censure, or a response from some very strict
and proactive moderators. to then bring this procedure to this list
and to be treated in this pompous, petty, bureaucratic way is a
source of great disappointment.

If it's a problem then Just ignore it. Or change the way you sort it
out.

Do both of you think that the people who use this list are as stupid
as the software they use and cannot read the subject title and
realise it's a different post... I mean really.

As a moderator I would have thought it best to contact someone off
list and explain the problem as it arises and not make such a public
spectacle of it. I can only think that there are some cultural
factors at work here.

In trying to point out the thread hijacking both you and Milko are
contradicting your own position. I won't even bother to mention
irony. Ooops.

As I have informed Milko off list, once I have posted the results of
my experiments with Cubic Converters file handling and colour profile
observance I shall remove myself from the group in protest about this
petty behaviour and the crazy way in which this has been handled.

As you mentioned below "guidelines" that's "GUIDELINES", shall I say
it again?

You both have become Park wardens shouting at people to keep off the
grass.

Good luck with that approach, I'm sure it will have really good results.

best

Snowy
