| Subject: | Cubic converter and profiles |
Thread:
Just to clarify a workflow issue fom the recent thread. to be specific, I have found that Cubic
converter does no colour conversion with the "Disable Quicktime Graphics Importer Color
Matching" preference selected. The recommended workflow from the archive suggests
converting to sRGB before using the CC. I have found that although CC does not honour the
profile, or save an image with a profile attached, If the image is subsequently opened in PS
and the originating profile assigned, then the colour is identical.
In Short this means that one can use CC to enable editing of nadir eetc and convert back to
Equirectangular with no loss of colour data. My tests were carried out using Adobe 1998 RGB
colourspace.
As stated in my last set of e-mails this is my last post. Due to the debacle over my last
message I can no longer continue as a member of this list. It's a bit like JFK and the Donut.
Good bye and Good luck.
