Thread:
Hi Andrew and Robert,
I have both heads: 360Precision Absolute and Angnos MRotator TCP Short.
I can batch stitch using both heads with a litle advantage for
360Precision Absolute.
On the other hand, MRotator TCP Short is lighter, has a very small
footprint and I have much better experience getting support from Agnos
than from 360Precision.
If NPP is the main issue, you can use the Agnos RingT (Kit Head 3 - euro
450.00) instead 360Precision (euro 577.59). I hope Agnos releases the
RingT for Canon 15mm fisheye...
If batch stitching is an issue, I think 360Precision is the best option.
Keep in mind that if you upgrade your camera or lens (i.e. from d200 to
d300 or d700 or lens) you will need to upgrade your 360Precision
Absolute head. As Agnos RingT is attached to the lens you can use any
body you want with the same lens (i.e. d200 or d700 with the Nikkor
10.5mm head).
By the way, my company produced more than 1800 panoramas per year in the
last two years and we don't use batch stitching anyway so I’ll sell my
used 360Precision Absolute…
My company uses PTGUI Pro to stitch the panoramas – GREAT SOFTWARE.
Regards,
Ricardo
