Hello Nick,
Off forum you sent me some images, this is what I have found.
The images are shot with your camera in portrait position.
In the options of the camera is set that the camera position must be saved
in the EXIF header of the image with a rotation tag.
The reason for the rotation problem you are experiencing is the handling by
PTGui of the EXIF rotation tag inside your images.
When using the PTgui project with the PTSTitcherNG droplet then all is fine
because the EXIF rotation tag is taken in account by PTSTitcherNG.
However, when you output via PTGui then PTGui creates a basic script and
sent this to PTSTitcherNG.
The problem is that the EXIF rotation tag is not included in this script,
hence the wrong output.
The reason that PTGui is not sending the project file "as is" to
PTStitcherNG but a basic script instead is based on historical needs.
Luckily there is a workaround and it is already included in PTGui :-)
In PTGui there is an option to skip the use of the EXIF rotation tag, you
find it in the Project tab.
It is very important that you switch this option off BEFORE you load the
images into your project.
When you have a finished project and you find out that the output is wrong
then you can't switch it off (the option is greyed out) so it is important
to switch it off at the very first stage of your project.
If you always work with images with a EXIF rotation tag then it is best to
save a project with a switched off EXIF rotation tag, you do this with the
menu option "Make default", then you always start with the proper setting.
But even better is to switch this option off in your camera....
Success,
Wim
