Hi nick!!!
the main thing with CUDA is to have as many processing pipes as possible.
CPU: better a quad core, to have multiple software running and being
splitted in different cpus, speed not important. But a dual core is
just enough. i5 is not important
Motherboard: Best solution is to use EVGA mobos, they have nvidia
chipset and are fully integrated with the GC.
Graphic cards, here comes the point. with an EVGA you can put 2, 3 or
even 4 GC in SLI mode, so you can choose the GTX card only on base of
cores number and price.
2x 275 give 480cores and cost just a bit more than a 285, if you throw
in 3, or 4 or other configurations you must consider the power source,
and go 1000-1200w ecc ecc
If you want I can guide you in building the perfect pano workstation..
:-) mail me at #removed#, and I'll reply directly, without
bothering the others in the list, or even here if the others prefer.
I need a list of the parts you have already... then I'll find out the
most cost effective solutions and help you with the project... it is a
matter of balancing between needs and effectiveness.
I've some experience in the field... :-DD
