As I was telling before, a double or triple gtx 275 in SLI will be
faster and cheaper than other solutions.
Core number is the key factor, more than memory amount or card clock.
Once you tell the driver cards are in SLI, they are actually seen as
one single card (and only 2 video ports will be avaliable, even if you
have 4 cards) and CUDAwise used as the sum of all processor was in
one device.
If you want to build a SLI computer you have to choose motherboard,
cards, and specially POWER SUPPLY in the right way. Balancing
carefully the machine is the thing, but a cuda computer is someway as
expensive as a good workstation to build (a few less than a base
macpro)
