So, what does the projection, sharpness or content have to do with simple numbers ?  Where not talking about anything other than the number of pixels that make up a gigapixel image. It amazes me that this can even be argued.

It's like saying my D700 isn?t really 12mp if I use a crappy non-sharp less but it might actually be 16mp if I use a super sharp Zeiss 85mm lens. Bonkers.
