I'm sorry I meant 8 shots around at a constant f8 shooting at different
shutter speeds.
Can I shoot as a series of the same shutter speed or do I shoot a series
with different shutter speed.

Changing aperture will change the field of view, destroying any hope for
creating an hdr image with simple methods. So you bracket your shutter
speed, or in rare cases your iso.
