Are you saying that if the nodal point is located
behind the Iris the effective position of the "non
paralax" point is the iris?

I may be doing it all wrong but I've just been setting
the distance between the film plane and the point of
rotation to the focal length of the lens.  

This seems to match the offset my RS calcs and I dont
have to calibrate all my lenses. Course, I mainly
shoot landscapes and other distant shots so maybe I'm
not seeing any error.
