Er... spake too soon.
It works well with _small_ images, but for large panoramas
it fails if you try to work with a image wider than the
standard PICT limit (3400 pix?)
For instance, I experimented with a .jpg file which is
4294w x 1496h (psphere format).
Although GC v3.91 opens files these wide now, any operations
by the new PTools (eg correction/shear or remap) on such files
will give wildly scrambled results.
However, rotate the image CCW 90-degrees and then do a PTools
operation (say correction/shear hortz 40) - and provided the
width is < the PICT limit, PTools will work fine.
So Looks like there is some problem with GC accepting wide
image data back from a plug-in.
