PanoTools: new VR tour, want feedback. Jim Watters 2003-Apr-30 06:44:13
I have just finished putting the final touches to a VR tour on my web
site.
http://members.rogers.com/jimwatters/photos.html
I would like as much feed back as I can get. Really please.

I am using the same .mov file for both the Java and QT versions of the tour.
The PTViewer version is only 1 html doc, if you do not count
PTDefault.html. The QT version is 7 html docs.
I think I did a pretty good job with the Java VR tour using PT, it could
benefit with a clickable map with rotating compass.
The PTViewer tour is quite reusable with the images being loaded on top
of the wait image.
I do plan to add hot spots to the pans to link them together soon.
The first time the VR is displayed with Mozilla, the applet under the
wait image is grey. This disappears when the next pan is loaded. I do
not see this problem on IE.
Is it possible to eliminate the multiple files needed to create the same
tour in QT?

For all VRs, I shot using Nikon995 and fisheye.
4 shots tilted up about 7 degrees, eliminating need for zenith shot.
I cloned the tripod away in photoshop.

Thank you everyone, that has helped me out with my questions.
