PanoTools: Question to Tom! and all 20d owners Robert Scholz 2004-Dec-02 13:35:06
I have some Questions.

has anyone, maybe tom!(striewisch),who has a 20d as I know,tested the 20d with a sigma 8mm ?
is there any difference ?
the sensor of the 20d is a little smaller than the 10d/300d sensor
does this affect the image-circle up and downside?

is there any banding in your camera, when you push the shadows?
with high iso and a little underexposed?
I am really courious about that, because thats what I normally do, underexpose a little, to contain the lights, and recover the shadows later...
I have read some things about banding of the 20d, mostly under these condtions
mostly when recovering the shadows of an underexposed shot
I am talking about regular lines of noise, very ugly

could anyone provide a sample-shot(raw?) of the 20d with the sigma 8mm, maybe with high iso and a little underexposed ?
please?!

I hope I am wrong,because the 20d seems a nice camera.
but when cropping the fisheye-circle, or producing "banding" in the shadows it would be useless for me.

any pano-samples from this setup?

greetings, robert.
