PanoTools: holes after using cubefaces.pts Julie Pecenco 2005-Mar-31 23:35:39
I've been lurking on the group for many months, learning and building
panoramas along the way. Everytime I'm ready to post a question, I
research the various great tutorials and tips everyone has created and
usually find my answer. I figured it was time I introduced myself asked
some of my other questions.

I've been using Panocube Plus to create my panoramas, and have started
exporting the 6 tiles faces for editing, then re-combining them using
Erik's "cubefaces.pts" PTGui template. When I do this, I often end up
with small triangular holes in the resulting outpit .tif. An example can
be seen at:

For a while I thought these holes were birds, which is why they remained.
I've now started looking for them and cleaning them up, but does anyone
know what I might be doing wrong to cause this problem in the first place?
The higher the resultion of my output panorama, the smaller the triangles,
but the above example was 10000x5000, and much larger becomes too unwieldy
for my computer, let alone Photoshop.

I'll save any other questions for later, when I remember them, and have
access to the files for examples.

Any advice anyone has on the panoramas I've done so far would be gladly
accepted:

(plus the most recent WWP, which I haven't uploaded to my web page yet.)

Thanks,
Julie
