PanoTools:
PTEditor functionality in PanoPreviewer
Brian Greenstone 2005-Apr-18 05:16:15
I've had many requests to add PTEditor-type functionality to the
PanoPreviewer plug-in for Photoshop, but I've been unable to get
either the Linux or OS 9 version of PTEditor to run on my Mac, so I'm
not 100% certain I know what the tool does.
I agree that it would be great if PanoPreviewer would somehow aid in
the editing of the zenith and nadir, but we're entering an area
that's a bit fuzzy for me. On my end, it's very easy to simply grab
an image of the current view and spit that out as a separate
Photoshop file for editing, but I'm not clear on how that image can
be retro-converted back to equirectangular form such that it can be
patched into the original image. If someone can enlighten me on this
then this is possibly something I could add into a future version.
Thanks,
-Brian
