PanoTools:
Canon D60 + Sigma 8mm better than Nikon D70 + Sigma 8mm? Why??

Not a begginer at this anymore. What got me into this was seeing
work by Hans Nyberg like this:
http://www.panoramas.dk/fullscreen2/full6.html
I still see his body of work as a standard to live up too.
To the question:
Hans uses Canon D60 with his Sigma and with fantastic results. I use
my Sigma with Nikon D70. I have read a lot of tests where they
compare these two cameras and come to the conclusion that they are
relatively equal in quality, each in their own way.
I try to compare every pano I do with those on panoramas.dk, and I
compare even the work of others that I see use the Nikon D70 and
Sigma 8mm combo with the above mentioned Canon/Sigma combo that Hans
uses.
Always, the results with Canon + Sigma are better. Why??
Is it the cropping factor? Canons 1.6 vs. Nikons 1.5? That you get
to play around with some more pixels with Canon? Surely, there can't
be THAT much of a difference in vividness, warmth and smoothness
just on account of the bloody cropping factor, can it? I have a
sense for photography, experience and know-how of how to take same
kind of pictures using other lenses, but it doesn't work for me the
same way with the Sigma 8mm and this particular D70.
I almost regret not buying the EXACT same combo that Hans uses from
the begining. But then again, Nikon D70 is a terrific camera for
everything else that we do.
Any experience on how to make Nikon D70 combo results more like
those of Canon combo? I try to use the same settings in every step
in detail that Mr Nyberg uses and recommends in the same kind of
locations, to get that same warm, smooth atmosphere, and sometimes I
succed but I spend hours and hours in Photoshop CS2, which I know
should not be the case.
