PanoTools:
Nikon D50 and Nikon 10.5mm with Manfrotto 300(? - NOT the SP head)

Is anyone using this combo? I have been using the pan head for a
couple of years with Sony digicam but now I want to get the fabulous results I see on this list
so I have bought the equipment above. I can already see it is much much better but
wondered if anyone could help me speed up my learning curve with the new camera/lens.
I have set the camera at 46mm back on the front/back slide and 60mm
on the left/right slide - is that reasonable?
Also I dont know how many shots around to take - I have been using 8
in portrait but the ice hockey pan is 5 and 1 up and 1 down if I read the post correctly.
What settings should I use to do it in 5 as I understand the nodal point shifts depending on
the amount of shots taken.
Looking forward to more tweaking!!
Thanks for reading
