What's the hot tip (for a Digital Rebel/300D), IR or wired? Can you use
an IR unit on a really tall monopod (nothing specific, I'm only thinking
of future possibilities) or do you need to be in front of the camera to
trigger it? If I need to be in front of the camera can I make some sort
of a reflector to bounce the signal into the receiver? I know I can
bounce the signal from the TV remote off of "stuff" and get it to work
is something like that possible here? When you're using an IR unit is
there a light on it that flashes when you release the shutter so you
know it actually worked?
Are there any units that I should get/stay away from?
