You can actually use PTGui to do this remapping too if you temporarily 
install the pano12.dll V2.8.5 from Jim Watter's page.  Then check 
the "Show script" option before clicking on the "Create Panorama" 
button.  When the script is displayed, change the f2 parameter in the p 
line to f6 to output mercator projection.
