proj-imim: Picker fails to load script Michael Gerard 2001-Feb-02 22:58:35
Help please - I presume I'm missing some easy instruction, but I am stuck and I would really like to give PanoTools program a try. I've downloaded and installed the tools and JRE and followed all instructions in all documentation on your site and others. I've parsed all the tutorials I can find on the Net. Ptpicker loads, it makes a new project, it imports the photographs, it optimizes and it saves a script. My problem is that I cannot get it to load the script saved by the optimizer. Everytime, every script, I get the error messages: "Error loading scriptfile" and "Could not load scriptfile". I cannot think of what to do next. The photos (14) were taken on a Kaidan panorama tripod head, so they should be okay; they were scanned consistently with no colour or density correction, and they match well; I've saved the project file to the same folder as the images, and as well I've tried saving it to the folder where ptpicker.jar is located. I've even tried saving it to the "script" subfolder, in desperation. I've tried jpeg output and Photoshop layers output, 2 images and as above, 14. I've saved the script with no extension, and with .txt and with .pts extension - in fact, it adds its own .txt extension anyway. I've downloaded and tried the latest version of ptPicker. But nothing works, the script simply will not load into ptStitcher. I'm using a PC with NT4 and SP 6a installed. The pano12.dll file is in the Windows\System directory. Any tip welcome on what I'm doing wrong! Thanks, Michael
