PanoTools NG: About conversion from equirectangular to cubic faces (rectiliniar) dorindxn 2008-Dec-03 20:35:14
Hi, some times ago, maybe an year, I done some experiments in
generating directly the cubic faces from Hugin/PTGui to step over the
equirectangular phase, i.e. to avoid one interpolation, as the cubic
faces can be shown in various panoramic viewers.
The problem was at the blending between the cubic faces, the seam
between the cubic was visible.
My question, from where I can start to learn to extract one cubic face
from an equirectangular image in order to implement some custom
blending. I know that I can use nona(gui) to convert but I'm reffering
at mathematical formulas and alghorithms.

thanks,
Dorin
