PanoTools: Focusing problems with a 10.5mm mounted on a 350D udedomenico 2006-Jun-17 19:51:19
Hi all,
I hope you can give me some good hints.

I have mounted the 10.5mm on a 350D and I have done (I hope) more or
less what the great Hans Nyberg suggested in his page:

http://www.panoramas.dk/adapter/canon-nikon-adapter.html

However I am still unable to perfectly focus.

I have set focus up to infinite.

the adaptes is a FOTODIOX. It seems OK.

As I said I believe I have done everything as suggested by Hans:
1] ear plug stick into the slot to get a wider apperture (not sure how
much but would it matter? anyway the lever aperture looks fully open or
nearly there)

2] set focus to infinity

The only thing I did not quite grasp in the page is the following:
"...
Focusing has a problem. To mount the lens with exactly the right
distance to the sensor it has to be very accurate.
This adapter is perhaps not. If you turn it all the way to the end your
images will be very blurry.
..."

what does that mean I do not know (what should I not turn all the way
to the end?).

Anyway:
The result can be seen in this picture:

What should I do to get better focusing?

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Umberto
