PanoTools:
New Version 1.0.preview of Pano2QTVR
Thomas Rauscher 2006-Feb-26 04:54:36
Hello,
ok, as you can see on the subject line I have a serious problem
making a version 1.0 but now at least the 1.0 is in the name.... but
it is only a preview to it ;)
This new version can be found (as always) at
http://www.pano2qtvr.com/download.php
The major chances since Version 0.9.8.1
For all project types:
- small Toolbar
- currently there are more than *90* possible parameters in the config
file (yes, they are all in the readme.html now)
For Object Movies:
- Virtual light table! You don't have to rename the images, an you can
arrange them with drag & drop (also from the explorer)
- unlimited viewstates and animation frames
- the speed for animations and autorotations can be changed
- hotspots for each image, group of the
animation, horizontal and vertical images
- different controllers like joystick and absolute position
- a lot of nice checkboxes for features to play with ;)
Some quick examples:
absolute cursor (btw: thx eisa...)
http://www.pano2qtvr.com/samples/schatz.html
viewstates:
http://www.pano2qtvr.com/samples/obj_viewstate.mov
animation + multirow:
http://www.pano2qtvr.com/samples/skull_anim_full.mov
This file consists of more then 1000 images (render time 2 days...), so
give it a little time to download the small version... 3.2MB
For Panoramas:
- Independent Stitcher (with anti aliasing), if the pano12.dll can't
be found. This also allows thumbnail stitching from cubefaces in one
run without temp images in better quality.
- support for the anti aliasing filters in the pano12.dll
- assembling tiles to other formats than TIFF
- no temp files. You can now run more than one Droplet within a
directory, If you have enough memory ;)
- more thumbnail types like mirrorball and sphere (has anyone
additional ideas?)
- Droplets can create Thumbnails and HTML-Files within one run
- Checkbox for the QTVR-Flattener (=the Apple QTVR Optimizer)
- nicer HTML-Templates
I hope you enjoy these improvements. If there are no major bugs, the
version 1.0 is really near!
MfG,
Thomas.
