[list admin] Murphy's law and the Panotools list

Last week I changed the delivery list option for Panotools to daily
digest. I also decided to take a couple days vacation from all
things Panotools. Sadly, as Murphy's law would have it the
Bickersons decided to come out in mass over the past few days
ignoring my post last month regarding list etiquette.
So here is the bottom line. What has been posted over the past
couple of days is water under the bridge. Users who post on the
following topics during the month of June will be suspended for one
month:
1) panotools.info including funding, direction, etc. Take that
discussion to the panotools.info site
2) anything I construe as a personal attack. e.g. you and or your
computer, method, etc. are dumb
3) anything I construe as a lack of tolerance for other people's
opinions
4) arrogance - don't just say, "Oh, that is easy. I do that every
day." That helps no one but your own ego and is demeaning to those
wanting to learn more. Write up a tutorial and post it on the web
somewhere, your site, panotools.info, etc. and then point to it in
your message. If you need to get an ego boost, do it somewhere else.
5) product announcements. The same users that have been harsh on
off topic posts such as eolas fixes and commercial viewers like to
post their products here. This is not allowed for the month of June.
The above will be STRICTLY ENFORCED.
If you have a problem with someone on this list or their opinions
contact them directly. 2000 members don't need to hear about your
problems and neither do I need to hear about it.
In short,
GROW UP. Stop acting like spoiled five year olds.
If you consider that harsh, I was going to go over the digests of the
last few days and determine who should be banned for a month. I'm
sure when you fought with your siblings as kids on vacation with your
parents they most likely did not take sides and said "I don't care
who started it. All of you need to stop it."
