PanoTools NG:
Mazes with pole panhead

I finally uploaded the additional panoramas I shot for the last WWPano
event.
Mazes at Saunders Farm. Enjoy.

Most of these were all shot using a 5 meter expandable pole (Strong Arm).
It also came in very handy putting the Christmas lights up in the big
tree in our front yard.
I added to my equipment page a couple new object VR showing my pole setup.

The camera is attached to the pole so it is pointed down and rotated so
the bottom corner captures the bottom of the pole. (rotated 20 deg and
with a pitch of -15deg) This makes it possible to have a complete
nadir by taking 6 images around. But I usually take another shot to
fill it in with less distortion. Pointing the camera down some means
the zenith is larger than normal and requires two shots to fill in.
It is difficult to rotate the camera in the same place and trigger it
with the wireless remote. My best friend was the shadow cast by the
camera. I would look at it to make sure the camera was in the right
spot each time. A wired remote will be my next purchase. motorized
head will be the next project.
