One of the nice things about this lens is that it is sharp wide open at 8mm. Which means when you need low light 180 degree coverage it will deliver. Like in this dusk beach scene. http://www.mediavr.com/berrara/berrarbeach2.htm The 8mm setting was necessary to capture the entire wave front in one shot.
