As I just wrote, the "stairs" are disturbing only during slow auto-rotation.

So it's true that PTViewer already gives better image quality than the rest,
but perhaps you would be willing to make an "inbetween quality" rendering
available for auto-rotation? A Hermite filter or so. I could imagine you
have quite some algorithms in your sleeve.

Something which is off by default but which the developer can switch on if
he wants better quality auto-rotation, and doesn't mind if it's slow.

In my opinion, image quality is the main consideration for using a viewer.
So, improved quality during slow auto-rotation would make PTVJ stand out
above other viewers even more.
