Landis,

I use the Canon 5D and Nikkor 10.5 f:2.8 Fisheye and find that 3 shots 
around are enough for a good stitch.
I tried outdoors on several locations and found no problems yet using 3 
shots, for me it has enough overlap.
Saves a lot of hard disk space it's faster to process.
