PanoTools: Re: lists of panoramas acybercircus 2006-Jun-17 00:50:08
Greetings
I tried the beta 2.8 version on my home server. It seems to work fine
but still has a problem with roi plotting hotspots. The PTViewer 2.8
file was subtantially smaller 46K instead of 64K for PTViewer 2.7L.
Is PTViewer 2.8 the same the same as the large file version from
PTViewer2.7L. Does 2.8 beta only have the one version?

I have uploaded a test version of the port arthur set. The URL is
http://www.acybercircus.com.au/pano/pa/testroi.html

In this version the opening panorama is redefined as a roi: -
<PARAM name=pano10		value="
	{roi0=i'p11ol.jpg' x1139 y0}
	{pwidth=3645}
	{pheight=200}
	{pan=70}
	{panmin=-67}
	{panmax=67}
	{bgcolor =f0f0f0}
	{cursor=move}
	{hotspot0=p  x920  y70 a960 b95 n'click me'
u'javascript:startPano(9) ' i'arrowy.gif'}
        {hotspot1=p  x125  y125 a158 b157 n'click me'
u'javascript:startPano(0) ' i'arrowy.gif'}
        ">

Using this method I can see all of the aprtial panorama
without "slipping over the edge of the image onto the beginning of
the other end but cannot see any hotspots.

The publisged version of this test page is URL
http://www.acybercircus.com.au/pano/pa/gppaol.html

In this version the opening panorama is defined as: -

<PARAM name=pano10		value="
	{file=p11ol.jpg}
	{pan=70}
	{panmin=-150}
	{panmax=150}
	{bgcolor =f0f0f0}
	{cursor=move}
		{hotspot0=p  x920  y70 a960 b95 n'click me'
u'javascript:startPano(9) ' i'arrowy.gif'}

	{hotspot1=p  x125  y125 a158 b157 n'click me'
u'javascript:startPano(0) ' i'arrowy.gif'}

In this version I have set the panmax and pan min by trial and error.
Notice I have to miss some of the image in order to avoid crossing
over at the ends. But the hotspots work.

I'm thinking the problem may be like if you try to use another size
specification than the actual size of the image in an image map.
