Re: processor upgrade

I just got my new computer up and running this last week but haven't
had much of a chance to really see what it can do. Still adding
programs and looking into overclocking the Qx6700 2.66Hz quad core
processor to 3.2Hz
The mother board is an Asus P5N32-E SLI.
I'm running 4GB of DDR2 ram and the 32-bit Windows XP OS which shows
it's using 3.25GB's of the ram. Haven't installed the 64-bit OS as of
yet.
My two OS Hard Drives that I will be using for a duel boot system are
Western Digital Raptor WD740ADFD 74GB 10,000 RPM 16MB Cache Serial
ATA150.
I'm using four 500GB Western Digital hard drives in raid 0+1 for
storage, and a 1TB raid-0 external HD hooked up with the 9 pin
Firewire 800.
I wanted something good for video and photo editing. This was my
first build and I got help from some good friends because I still
have a lot to learn, I would be happy to test out the speed to see
how it compares against other systems when working with PTGui or
other programs.
Cheers,
Roger
