PanoTools: PTGui - Eqirectangular Tiff Output - DPI Question russellcobley2004 2005-Mar-31 17:32:35

Hi,

I have noted that the single .tif output from PTGui, after running
through enblend, results in an image with a 72dpi resolution. My
source
input images are all 300dpi .tif's. I am interested in printing out
some of my panos.

Why does PTGui output .tif files at 72dpi? I know that I can change
the
resolution in Photoshop but that of course reduces the actual image
size. Is there a way a retaining the PTGui output .tif's pixel
dimensions but change the resolution from 72dpi to 300dpi for
printing.
Or is my only option to change the resolution in Photoshop and live
with the reduced image size?

If anyone who prints panos from PTGui/Panotools output who can offer
some advice, I would be very grateful!

Thanks
