Hi Fiero,

with Java you cannot use the Windows API, and the applet will also run 
under other operating systems.

PTViewer uses the 1.0 event handling code. Modern java applets use a 
newer event handling code that is much more flexible. I looked at it for 
other reasons but moving to the newer event handling would require a lot 
of rewriting and I do not have enough time to do it.
