Everyone of us in this group are involved in an ongoing process.  None
of us were born with genetic memory about panoramas.  For example:
PTGUI is at version 7.3 and growing stronger with every update.   You
are quite lucky, The processes and equipments have become quite good
and EASY.  About 100 years ago the Cirkut camera appeared but only in
1983 did Dusariez, Pierroux and Larson published their "360 Panoptic
Photography Experiments" which I believe started the current upsurge
of interest in panoramic photography.  Have fun!
