PanoTools:
Sigma's 8mm fisheye lens or lenses and Nikon D70?
Peter Sale 2005-Dec-15 02:51:52
I currently own a Nikon D70 and a Sigma 8mm lens. My understanding is that
Sigma put out two versions of 8mm lens, with the "newer" version being a
better lens for some reason.
1. Is this true? Are there two different Sigma 8mm fisheye lenses for a
Nikon D70 DSLR?
2. If the answer is "yes", is one lens better than the other for making
4-shot panos? What makes it better and will I notice the difference if I
only shoot and stitch panos for display on the internet? BTW, I use PTGui
5.5 for stitching on my Windows XP Pro 1.6 GHtz laptop.
3. If the answer is "yes", how can I tell which version of Sigma lens I
currently own?
