PanoTools NG: Creating a PANO on DVD Rick Drew 2007-Jun-16 19:32:32
I recently completed a multi-DVD project for a client - my software could
not handle some advanced features that I needed so I had to shop around. I
found a DVD authoring program called DVD-Lab Pro (around $250 US) - The
closer for me was the ability to create panoramic menus. It can use a
cylindrical pano image as a navigable menu image (pan left and right) - you
can have links on the image to other images, or use it as a DVD front-end.
The front-end and work-flow takes a little getting used to (I was used to
DVD Architect and Encore DVD) and the undo is buggy - users joke that the
best undo is save, save as, save as again, undo by opening the last save.
But the functionality is stellar and the advanced features are great.

I've seen a lot of discussion about tours or panos on CD or DVD - this is an
option that would work for many - as long as it's a cylindrical pano. What
really impressed me was the 30 day fully functional trial! I created five
different DVD's with no limitations!
