Re: Sigma 8 F3.5 and its sharpness

This brings up an interesting point since I've begun using Nikon
Capture NX to convert my RAW files. As part of the default settings
when converting a selected NEF file, the Noise Reduction button is
checked with varying amounts of intensity selected. I assume this is
in direct correlation to the ISO selected at capture.
My images shot with my Sigma 8mm f/3.5 look much better after
converting with Capture NX than with ACR. I don't have any
comparisons that I've done yet that I can show though. Just relying
on my eye. . .
My Sigma 8mm f/3.5 is not quite as sharp as the 10.5mm Nikkor, but
it's a hell of a lot sharper than the 8mm f/4!
