You are correct, that's why Thomas' approach is the best in theory. But
I think in practise, the difference in pixel density is not that large
and the PTGui interpolators should give fine results.
But feel free to try it yourself, of course..
Btw the prior downsampling combined with the old PTools interpolators is
a less ideal approach than using an interpolator with a large kernel
(which is what the new antialiased interpolators and the PTGui
interpolators use), so I can imagine that you will see some differences
there.
