The right place to search for patents is <http://www.uspto.gov/patft/index.html> where you will find more than just a two lines abstract and pa bunch of google ads.

When I see useless sites such as freepatentsonline.com I close the browser tab. Every click on such a site is a waste of my time and of advertisers money. Google should ban this kind of sites from its ad programs.

At <http://patft.uspto.gov/netahtml/srchnum.htm> you can enter the patent number 6616701 and have free access to all filings without ads.
