I spend way too much time reading Reddit. The ask Science reddit for instance has phenomenal amounts of expertise on tap. The front page of Reddit is rather US-centric and pun obsessed imo -  but the subreddits are often interesting. My feeling is that subreddits like ask Science require a lot of moderator input.
