My apologies, my eyes missed the "/Mac" part. My world is PC...

I heard you say this a lot, but I haven't seen this written by Helmut. I
like the idea, if it will be true.

Although I still wonder why other Java viewers are faster in panning.
PTViewer only uses bilinear when you stop panning, it uses nearest neighbor
while panning. What do the other viewers use for panning if not nearest
neighbor? Is there anything faster than nearest neighbor? If the answer is
yes then I would like to be able to choose. The interpolation is a small
part of the code, adding another interpolation method won't make the applet
much bigger.
