A little help please...

I am using PTStitcher to convert fisheye images....on a PC..

p f1 w2000 h310 v360 n"JPEG"
o f2 r0 p-90 y0 v209.053 a0.836851 b-1.841307 c1.696200

This works, but I wanted to experiment with different compression levels.

The docs have an option
#  q(codec quality):
#  0-high,1-normal,2-low    QTVR on Macs
#  0-100(highest)           on other jpeg-formats (PAN, IVR, IVR_java, VRML)

Is this the level of compression?
Using an 875k jpg,...
All of the following yeild identical image (72k) output:
p f1 w2000 h310 v360 n"JPEG"
p f1 w2000 h310 v360 n"JPEG" q100
p f1 w2000 h310 v360 n"JPEG" q10
p q100 f1 w2000 h310 v360 n"JPEG"
p q10 f1 w2000 h310 v360 n"JPEG"

I tried replacing "JPEG" with IVR and IVR_java - no impact.

Is the "q" option the wrong option for compression or am I doing it wrong?

Ed Howard
