(1) it indeed moves in obvious steps
(2) it indeed bounces a few pixels up and down
(zoom in and move slowly to see it clearly)
(3) when panning with a medium speed, the viewer is flickering quite visibly
(Win/IE5, Pentium 500 Mhz).
That happens with v0.9, at least. I have not seen this behavior in other
"brands" of viewers.
